About
A B.R.A.G. Medallion honored urban fantasy novel by Daniel J. Lyons.
Magic reigns in the world of Feracio, providing everything that science offers ours, and more:
Growing up in the village of Hinter, Aadima Rumetre never quite fit in.
Despite being born in a female body, he always knew he was a boy—not something the conservative village could accept and certainly not something that his parents would.
After the most tragic day in his young life, he finds himself bonded to an ancient magical weapon—a soul Hilt—yet another strike against him in his community’s eyes.
Certainly not suitable for a proper elf!
When he makes his way into the larger world, he discovers that it doesn’t approve of him either.
Elves don’t belong in proper human society!
Then, when he comes face-to-face with a demon—his world’s greatest threat—everything changes forever!
Reviews
- "A wonderful, character-driven fantasy featuring a world with a deep history and wonderful worldbuilding along with a trans main character whose personal journey is the very soul of the narrative."

10 out of 10 for character/execution
"Main character Vihaan is treated with immense love and care, his personal journey and character development propelling the story forward. Readers will find themselves quickly invested in Vihaan along with the more minor characters he meets, all of whom prove major influences on both the plot and Vihaan himself."

Star Rating: 4 out of 5
"I would very happily recommend this book to adults and new adults looking for a story that´s a little different and that has a strong, ‘hopeful’ feel to it. Also, LGBTQ+ readers will find a lot to enjoy here – and possibly even relate to. It´s a story of growth - and, let´s face it, we could all do with a bit of that."

“I suspect this is not the last we will see of this author. He´s picked an inflammatory subject for his novel which is wonderful. A thought-provoking read with an underlying theme of ´how difficult it can be to fit in´ for transgender men and for an elf!” Female reader, aged 53
